Tasked by a return client to reimagine a workspace within an inherited floor plan, we redefined office conventions by embracing constraints as opportunities. Here, we pay tribute to an era when design balanced restraint with indulgence, infused with the warmth and intimacy of a private residence.
The Zardozi embroidery technique is a layered and textured expression of the client's identity.
A tactile, woven narrative commemorating lineage and heritage.
The identity is expressed through an embroidered family crest: a textured emblem of swallows and cherished objects, symbolising humility, wisdom, and legacy. This is more than an office; it is a living narrative—a timeless reflection of purpose, passion, and pride.
Made to order stainless, burgundy rue marble coffee table and side chair; Alabaster table light; The Library arm chair.
1955 Pierre Jeanneret Teak and Cane bench.
Fluted, vibration-finished stainless steel and oak cladding.
Integrating terrariums with resilient, local Ficus species provide verdancy while purifying the air through a natural filtration system. Syncing with circadian rhythms, the lighting shifts to emulate the transitions of the day, creating a self regulating environment that aligns with the body's internal clock.
A living ecosystem: where functionality extends beyond mere utility.
